Q. Problem with Volume error when users turn off the computer after running Starcraft CD recognition patch.
First of all, This problem is not related to our product.
Solution>
Put "regedeit" on the Run menu in the Windows Start menu.
Then, the Registry editor will be loaded.
There is a "ConfigFlags" registry file at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Enum\Root\SCSIAdapter\6645
The default data of "ConfigFlags" is currently 00 00 00 00.
You should change the data to 00 02 00 00. After that, reboot your computer.

Q. The programs or operating systems using virtual CD drives stop executing or become distorted.
(1) When CDSpace and Far Stone's old version of Virtual Drive are installed in one computer by a CD recorder, conflicts may occur.
* Please upgrade rcachex.vxd file in Far Stone's homepage (http://www.farstone.com/env20/support/support.asp)
(2) If the window 's CD-ROM read ahead is set, CDSpace may not be compatible with the CD-ROM read ahead feature.
*  Turn off your CD-ROM read ahead feature by following the instructions below:
Select [System] from the [Control Panel].
Select [Performance] tab -> [File system] button -> [CD-ROM] tab.
On the Supplemental cache size, select "small".
On the Optimize access pattern for, select "No read-ahead".
(3) When the SCSI1HLP.VxD message appears on your system with a blue screen and halts your system, replace SCSI1HLP.VxD with SCSI1HLP.Bak in the c:\windows\system\iosubsys folder. SCSI1HLP.VxD is now unavailable to the device manager.

Q. I cannot get CDSpace to create image files of game CDs. I get error messages and CDSpace stops image-building, and the system displays a blue screen.
(1) Game CDs such as FIFA 2000 and Romance of Three Kingdoms VII have copy-protection, so that creating image files of them would take much more time than usual CDs. Normally our product CDSpace will finish creating the images of any CDs with copy-protection within one and half an hour (This is the fastest speed ever among any other virtual CDs). However the speed will be faster or slower depending on the type of CD-ROM drive.
(2) In case of CDs without copy-protection (e.g., Starcraft, Brood War, etc.), please do not select the check box that state "Ignore the reading-errors and continue to create image files", then continue the image-building job. If the job faces errors or won't progress, there must be some scratch on the original CDs.

Q. Creating the image file of locked CDs takes too much time.
(1) If the computer has WinOnCD, the image-building of locked CDs may be taking more than double the time.
(2) The timing for ignoring the reading-errors in a SCSI CD-ROM is set to 'default' so it can't be "Shorter". To make it shorter, you'd better create the images with EIDE CD-ROM.

Q. On CD-ROM application programs, a message appears requesting that I insert the CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.
* Some CD-ROM application programs run only on the CD-ROM drive where they were originally installed. Some game CDs in particular are supposed to be played by double-clicking the Icon on the desktop or the menu. That is not due to CDSpace, but the CDs themselves. Uninstall the application program and re-install it using the CDSpace program.
* Images created by some kinds of CD-RW/DVD methods can face such a problem. So you'd better try the EIDE CD-ROM to make the image files.

Q. I get the error message "ASPI device driver won't work properly", and the system gets stuck.
Most recording programs change all ASPI-related files into their own format. And when the user deletes the recording programs and the ASPI files are not recovered properly, this problem will occur.
* Reinstall the deleted recording programs or rebuild the ASPI driver provided by its manufacturer.
* Download here

Q. The background music is not supported by CDSpace
[Control panel] - [Multimedia] - [CD music], adjust the drive letter to "CD-ROM drive for playing CD music"

Q. Whenever I change the drive number, the computer gets stuck and I have to reboot it.
If the recording program 'NeroBurning' is installed in the computer, such a case would happen. Please uninstall the program and delete NeroCD95.VxD from the C:\windows\system\iosubsys folder. In other case, just replace X.VxD with X.Bak.

Q. After recording a CD converted as ISO from LCD, I get the message saying "I should insert the proper CD."
CDSpace can emulate a CD with copy-protection into LCD file without error. However if this LCD file is converted into ISO and then recorded, its contents may not be the same as of the original one. That's why the user gets the message mentioned above.
Our product is used to create an image file of a CD into the hard disk, but does not support the recording of copy-protect.

Q. When I convert the LCD file into ISO and vice versa, the file name becomes changed.
Currently, our product supports only the ISO9660 standard format, which is supposed to limit the file name to an 8.3 format. Therefore, a longer one would automatically be changed into an 8.3 format.

Q. While making a virtual CD,  a message Dialog saying "Source CD is corrupted " pops up and the CD image-creation is aborted.
A "Source CD is corrupted" message appears when the source CD has defects due to scratches or due to frequent use, or in other cases, a portion becomes copy-locked and data can not be read from a physical
CD-ROM drive. If scratches or particles are the culprits, clean them off the source CD and try again.

Q. When I insert the image file, CDSpace recognizes it as an audio CD.
(1) If some other programs change the CDFS.Vxd CDTSD.VxD CDVSD.VxD file in
the C:\windows\system\iosubsys folder, this would happen. Please overwrite the file that Windows originally offered and reboot the system to insert the image file.
(2)If the method above doesn't work, the image was probably created wrong. So try to create the image file with another CD-ROM drive.

Q. To insert the image into the last drive letter in a virtual CD-ROM, I get an error message to insert the proper CD, and the game CD won't start.
Some game CDs can't be played in oddly assigned drive letters. Please add one more drive to make it even.

Q. The size of an image turns out to be larger than that of the original CD.
In order to support all types of CDs including locked CD/video CD/audio CD, CDSpace would sometimes create a larger image from the original CD for better quality.

Q. I'm using a main board with VIA chip. The image-building in the system with CDSpace lasts too long. Worse, whenever I insert the image into CDSpace to play game CDs, the system stops.
If you use Windows 9x,Me, please reboot the system, followed by replacing vatapi.vxd with vatapi.bak at C:\windows\system\iosubsys.

Q. Msvcirt.dll file-related errors
This file is not available anymore, so please delete this at C:\windows\system and reinstall the particular program that will not work due to this file.
